What’s Inside the Box

One Luma Glass Teapot in your chosen size, the press-button infuser basket, the magnetized walnut lid, a bamboo serving tray, and a complimentary three-blend tea sampler (Sencha, White Peony, Jasmine Pearl). Packed in a recyclable kraft gift box.

Materials & Care

Heat-safe borosilicate glass (oven-safe up to 250°F / 120°C). 304-grade stainless steel infuser. FDA food-safe walnut hardwood handle and lid. Hand wash only with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive scrubbers on the wood.

Brewing Instructions

1. Add 1 tsp of loose-leaf tea per cup into the upper chamber.
2. Pour hot water (170°F for green / 200°F for black) over the leaves.
3. Steep 2–4 minutes depending on blend.
4. Press the button on the handle to release the brewed tea into the lower chamber.
5. Pour and enjoy. The leaves rest dry between pours, so a single steeping yields the cleanest cup.

Shipping & Returns

Free shipping on orders over $75. Standard delivery in 3–5 business days. 30-day no-questions returns — if you don’t love your Luma, send it back. We also cover the glass for life: chip or crack the body and we’ll replace it for the cost of shipping.

“The teapot I didn’t know I needed.”

★★★★★
I bought this on a whim and now I genuinely look forward to mornings. The press is oddly satisfying and the glass shows off the color of every brew. My counter looks like a wellness magazine.

The Slow Ritual

A teapot built to make you pause.

Most teapots ask nothing of you. You drop a bag in a mug and walk away. The Luma was designed for the opposite — a deliberate, two-minute pause where you watch the leaves unfurl, time the steep, and press release the brew with a soft click.

The dual-chamber design isn’t a gimmick. It solves the one thing every tea drinker hates: over-steeping. Press the button when the timer says so, and the leaves rest dry above the brew until you’re ready for your next pour. Every cup tastes like the first.

Frequently Asked

Good questions.

Is the glass actually heatproof?

Yes. We use lab-grade borosilicate glass rated to 250°F (120°C). You can pour boiling water directly in without thermal shock. Do not place on an open flame or stovetop.

How does the press-button infuser actually work?

A spring-loaded valve sits at the bottom of the upper chamber. Pressing the button on the handle opens the valve and lets the brewed tea drop into the lower chamber. Release the button and the valve seals again, keeping your leaves dry between pours.

Which size should I choose?

600ml brews about 2 cups — perfect for solo mornings. 800ml brews 3–4 cups — right for couples, shared rituals, or anyone who wants to re-steep without re-loading.

Is it dishwasher safe?

Hand wash only. The walnut handle and lid will degrade in a dishwasher. The glass and stainless basket can be rinsed in warm soapy water in under thirty seconds.

Can I use it for coffee or cold brew?

Yes — the stainless basket holds ground coffee beautifully for French-press style brewing. Cold brew works in the same way, just steep for 12–18 hours in the fridge.

What if it arrives broken?

We replace it free, no questions. The Lifetime Glass Guarantee also covers normal-use breakage forever — we’ll send a replacement body for just the cost of shipping.

Where is it made?

Designed in California, hand-finished in our partner glassworks in Suzhou. Every Luma is inspected by hand before it leaves the factory.

Is shipping really free?

Yes, on US orders over $75 — which both teapot sizes qualify for. We ship anywhere in the continental US in 3–5 business days. International rates calculated at checkout.

Replaced three teapots with this one

I owned a French press, a glass kettle, and a ceramic teapot. Luma replaced all of them. The press-button feels like magic the first time you use it and it never gets old. Worth every penny.

Genuinely beautiful object

It sits on my counter looking like a piece of art. The walnut handle warms in your palm. The glass is heavy in a satisfying way. I’ve had ten guests ask where I got it.

I drink more tea now. Genuinely.

I bought this hoping it would get me off coffee. Three months in: I drink at least two pots of tea a day. The ritual is real. My mornings feel different.

Took some getting used to

First few brews I over-steeped because I forgot to press the button on time. Once I figured out the rhythm it’s incredible. Wish the instruction card was more visual but four stars for the design alone.

Best gift I’ve given this year

Gave the 800ml to my mom for her birthday. She called me crying happy tears. She said she finally has the kind of object she’d hesitate to use because it’s too pretty — but uses every morning anyway.

The included sampler converted me

Got the free Jasmine Pearl in the box and now I’m ordering loose leaf monthly. Whatever Luma included tasted miles better than the supermarket tea bags I’d been drinking my whole life.

The Luma Philosophy

“The slowest moment of my day is when I make tea. I designed Luma so more people could find that moment — the small pause that resets the rest of the day.”

Luma began with a single object on a kitchen counter — a glass teapot from a small workshop, a press-button infuser, a magnetized wooden lid. We spent two years refining each detail. Heatproof glass thick enough to hold heat but thin enough to feel light. A walnut handle that warms in the palm. A lid that closes with a soft, magnetic click.
